FAQ’s

Is it scientifically proven?

Eporex Mesotherapy is based on a large number of accredited studies and research, in particular, research in the field of physical mechanisms that increase the penetration and spread of active principles into the epidermis, and also research in aesthetic mesotherapy.

In one of Eporex’s many studies, a retrospective study performed by Dr Sunil Chopra of The London Dermatology Centre, 38 patients who underwent Eporex Targeted Fat Reduction treatments on the abdomen lost an average of 6lb’s and 6CM, after just six, 20 minute treatments.

What are the contraindications?

Generally, Eporex treatments can’t be performed if you are allergic to some cosmetics, have a serious or progressive illness, suffer from epilepsy, or are pregnant or breast feeding.

A full consultation is given prior to treatment.

How long does it take to see the results?

It depends on the treatment you’re taking. For example, if you are treating cellulite, stretch marks or loose skin, the way the treatment works is by giving new cells the correct ingredients to rejuvenate the skin tissue. Our skin turns over every 28-40 days and so you see the result developing progressively through a course of treatments, as the new, healthy cells restructure the tissue from within. Improvements are typically seen quite quickly though as Eporex accelerates the skin’s natural rejuvenation.

Other treatments, such as Targeted Fat Reduction, offer noticeable results from the first week of treatment.

Your Eporex therapist can best advise you during your consultation according to the treatment, the condition of the treatment area, and what you wish to achieve.

Are Eporex treatments painful?

Eporex treatments aren’t painful at all. You should feel a tingling sensation in the treatment area though.

Do the results last?

Eporex offers long lasting results because the skin has been regenerated or the fat has left the body. The condition can reappear over time though if it the skin is subjected to similar stress, or through over eating. Also, conditions like cellulite are thought to be partly caused by oestrogen levels and so such physiological aspects can also factor.

How much does an Eporex treatment cost?

The price for a 20-40 minute treatment varies from clinic to clinic, typically between £70 – £150. Discounts are often offered for course bookings and your requirements will be recommended in your consultation.

Can Eporex Mesotherapy treatments offer an alternative to surgery?

Thousands of people undertake surgery to shed pockets of unwanted fat particularly around the abdomen. People can feel so upset about excess fat that they undertake liposuction, an aggressive surgical technique that involves the vigorous manoeuvring of a probe into the skin and fat, sucking out fat cells.

There are always concerns in having surgery generally, not to mention the discomfort and down time, but the long term results from liposuction can also be problematic. Removing fat cells from an area in which the body naturally stores excess fat, means that less fat can reside in the area after treatment. It is therefore common to find fat thereafter being stored in the surrounding area, which can result in more unusual lumps and bumps caused by the fat stores.

Alternatively, the Eporex Targeted Fat Reduction treatment reduces the size of existing fat cells rather than removing them, and so avoids this problem.

Loose skin can also, often be a problem after liposuction. With Eporex, ingredients are added to help tone loose skin as the fat is reduced.

Eporex’s Targeted Fat Reduction treatment does offer people a genuine alternative to liposuction as it is able to reduce large pockets of fat without downtime or pain.

Eporex can also be beneficial post-surgery, for scar reduction and improving the firmness and quality of skin.
